| Abstract: | The effective management of working capital and financial performance is a critical component towards ensuring the profitability and long-term sustainability of businesses, especially in the highly regulated and competitive business of veterinary pharmaceutical trading. This dissertation examines the financial performance and working capital management of Al Noor Veterinary Medicines Trading LLC, one of the leading firms in the UAE veterinary pharmaceutical business. The main purpose of the study is to evaluate the financial health of the firm, detect inefficiencies in its working capital cycle, and offer actionable solutions to improve financial decision-making. The research takes a quantitative research approach, employing secondary data gathered from the company's audited financial reports for 2023–2024 and 2024–2025. Various financial ratios such as profitability, liquidity, solvency, and efficiency ratios are examined to judge the financial position of the company. Further, important elements of working capital, including inventory turnover, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and operating cycle, are analyzed to determine how well the company is handling its short-term assets and liabilities. The findings indicate that although Al Noor Veterinary Medicines Trading LLC has shown moderate profitability and a healthy liquidity profile, there are issues with receiving the money on time and managing inventory. The working capital cycle is seen to be drawn out, reflecting possible cash flow limitations that may hinder operational responsiveness. There is a necessity for improved inventory control, prompt recovery of receivables, and better-coordinated payment strategies as found in the research to enhance overall efficiency. The discussion also places these results into the context of industry benchmarks and pertinent financial management frameworks. It highlights how it is appropriate to align working capital policies with strategic objectives in order to generate profitability and ensure business operations, especially in industries where forecasting demand and regulatory compliance are key. The dissertation provides tangible suggestions to enhance financial controls, introduce improved credit policies, and embrace contemporary inventory systems. It identifies the iii need for digital tools and real-time data analytics to monitor finance and make decisions. The findings presented through this case study are valuable not only for Al Noor Veterinary Medicines Trading LLC but also provide a reference point for other veterinary pharmaceuticals distribution-based SMEs. |
